Please join me for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans Media Day on Monday, February 25, 2008. We are very excited about Media Day as we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fore!Kids Foundation. The 2008 Media Day also will feature a fundraising golf tournament in the afternoon as well as serve as the distribution center for media credentials.
The Media Day luncheon and press conference will take place at TPC Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will feature 2007 Zurich Classic Champion Nick Watney.
During the event, you will hear several new announcements regarding the 2008 Zurich Classic, including plans surrounding the Fore!Kids Foundation’s 50th anniversary, the great food and music the event is famous for, as well as an updated list of the marquee players who have committed to the tournament. You will also have the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews with Nick Watney.
In addition, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO PICK UP YOUR MEDIA CREDENTIALS PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT. We will not hold a separate credential pick-up day this year. Please plan to attend Media Day to get your credentials before the tournament.
Following the luncheon, the Fore!Kids Foundation will host a golf fundraiser featuring special guest Archie Manning. During the tournament, participants will get a taste of the Zurich Classic with on-course offerings from Acme Oyster House, Drago’s, and Mudbugs Catering. All proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the Fore!Kids Foundation and its partner children’s charities. The Fore!Kids Foundation has raised over $3 million for children in the greater New Orleans area since Hurricane Katrina.
