ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS TEES OFF
EARLIER IN 2008

New Orleans (January 11, 2008) -  The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will take place March 24th – March 30th, 2008 rather than the late-April dates it usually occupies.  The Zurich Classic will continue to be played at TPC Louisiana, which has just undergone $3 million worth of course enhancements.

The earlier timing of the tournament is due to changes within the PGA TOUR’s 2008 schedule.  Zurich Classic dates already are set for 2009 and 2010, which are as follows: April 20th – 26th, 2009 and April 19th – 25th, 2010.

“PGA TOUR golf in New Orleans will be here before you know it,” said Tommy Fonseca, president of the Fore!Kids Foundation.  “This year’s date places us two weeks before the Masters which puts us in a great position for having the best field ever.  We will continue to add to the economic impact nationally-recognized sports events have brought to New Orleans.”
