AREA GROUPS URGED TO PARTNER WITH ZURICH CLASSIC TO RAISE CHARITABLE FUNDS

New Orleans (January 28, 2008) --  The Fore!Kids Foundation has announced a new partnership program available to area charities, schools and groups looking to raise charitable funds.  Through the program, groups are asked to sell daily tickets to the 2008 Zurich Classic of New Orleans on behalf of the Fore!Kids Foundation.  In return, the group will receive $10 for each $25 daily ticket sold and the rest will go children’s service organizations sponsored by Fore!Kids.

“This program is a great fundraiser for local groups,” said Tommy Fonseca, president of the Fore!Kids Foundation.  “While raising money for your own organization by selling tickets to a fun, family-friendly event, you also help raise money for children’s charities in the New Orleans area.”

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will take place March 24 – 30, 2008 at TPC Louisiana.  PGA TOUR greats Jim Furyk and David Toms already have committed to play the 2008 tournament, among a number of other amazing players.  The Zurich Classic also will feature bands Better Than Ezra and Sister Hazel, great food from local restaurants, and surprise celebrity appearances.

Since its inception, the Fore!Kids Foundation has helped to raise more than $16 million for area children’s service organizations.  This year, the Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary.
