New Orleans, LA (July 12, 2006) – Today, New Orleans native Tommy Fonseca was named President of the Fore!Kids Foundation, producers of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

"I am honored to be chosen as President of the Fore!Kids Foundation," said Fonseca. "My focus will be to fulfill the Foundation's vision of being the leading force for children's charities in the region and delivering one of the premier golf tournaments on the PGA TOUR. Along with the solid partnership of Zurich Financial Services, the Foundation will continue to play a meaningful role in the rebirth and future of our City."

Fonseca has over 20 years in sales, marketing, and management positions, including his role as Vice President, Baton Rouge Regional Manager of Whitney National Bank for the past six years. Prior to that, Fonseca held positions with Bank One, First National Bank of Commerce and Hibernia National Bank.

Fonseca has been a member of the Fore!Kids Foundation for 15 years, and presently sits on the Executive Board. He has volunteered at the PGA TOUR event in the areas of operations, player security, player relations, and fundraising.

Fonseca holds positions on the Executive Boards of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Louisiana, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Young Entrepreneurs Succeeding, and Banker's Care.

"We look forward to working with Tommy to take the tournament to the next level," said Fore!Kids Foundation Board Chairman Mike Rodrigue. "We are especially glad to have a New Orleanian running the Foundation and the tournament, someone who understands the specific needs of the area in these post-Katrina times."
