PGA TOUR Bringing Focus to New Orleans' Recovery

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (April 12, 2006) – The PGA TOUR will utilize the upcoming Zurich Classic of New Orleans to bring special focus on the city's recovery process to corporate leaders through a special event hosted by Commissioner Tim Finchem, including an economic forum featuring former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

The Commissioner's Cup, an annual golf event for CEOs of the TOUR's partnering corporations, will be held in New Orleans April 22-23, the weekend leading into tournament week. Then, for the morning of Monday, April 24, the TOUR has organized the forum for the CEOs and special guests of the tournament.

Representing dozens of Fortune 500 Companies, the CEOs will get a first-hand look at the recovery process from Hurricane Katrina and hear about the city's future and investment opportunities. This also is an opportunity to show that the city of New Orleans is ready once again to accept corporate meetings and events.

"I'm honored to be delivering the keynote address at the economic forum being conducted in New Orleans by the PGA TOUR," said Giuliani. "When organizations such as the PGA TOUR come here, they help send the message to corporate leaders that New Orleans is on the road to recovery and they can help accelerate the process."

CBS News' Steve Kroft will serve as moderator at the forum, which also will feature local and state officials.

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will be held April 27-30 at English Turn Golf & Country Club and will be televised on USA Network (Thursday and Friday rounds) and CBS (Saturday and Sunday). The former host site agreed to stage the tournament this year after it was determined the Tournament Players Club Louisiana had sustained too much damage from Hurricane Katrina. The PGA TOUR was the first major sports organization to commit its return to New Orleans for 2006.

"We are proud that we committed last November to bring the tournament back to New Orleans for 2006, even though we knew it would be a challenge and that we would have to change venues," Finchem said. "But we knew it was extremely important for the host organization Fore!Kids Foundation and its charities, for title sponsor Zurich, and certainly for the city of New Orleans, to return if at all possible. We also saw this as an opportunity to utilize our resources to bring special focus to the city's recovery efforts to a number of corporate leaders that partner with the PGA TOUR."

"Everyone involved with the Zurich Classic of New Orleans is excited about tournament week and the accompanying activities that will highlight the city's progress," said James J. Schiro, CEO of Zurich Financial Services. "It is more important than ever to show that New Orleans is fully capable of hosting a tournament that dates back to 1938 and supports the terrific charitable initiatives of the Fore!Kids Foundation."

To help with the rebuilding process, the TOUR plans to make the tournament a symbol of the healing process, as well as bring tangible help by attracting national attention and financial contributions to The Fore!Kids Foundation, the tournament host organization that has raised more than $13 million for local and regional children's charities.

About the Fore!Kids Foundation
The PGA TOUR is a tax-exempt membership organization of professional golfers. Its primary purpose is to provide competitive earnings opportunities for past, current and future members of the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour; to protect the integrity of the game; and to help grow the reach of the game in the U.S. and around the world.

In 2006, the three Tours will compete in nearly 120 events for approximately $325 million in prize money. Tournaments will be held in eight countries outside the U.S. and in 38 states.

In addition to providing competitive opportunities for its membership, TOUR events also generate significant funds for local charities. In fact, the three Tours reached the $1 billion mark in overall charitable contributions in late 2005. The PGA TOUR's web site address is www.pgatour.com and the company is headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
