New Orleans (April 10, 2006) – Padraig Harrington has committed to play in the upcoming Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The event will take place April 24 - 30, 2006 at English Turn Golf and Country Club.

Harrington is a two-time winner on the PGA TOUR, with victories at the 2005 Honda Classic and Barclays Classic. 2005 was his first full year as a fully-exempt player on the PGA TOUR and he brought home over $2.6 million in earnings. Harrington also holds nine international victories. His best finish this year was T5 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Last year was Harrington's first visit to the Zurich Classic where he finished T9.

The Fore!Kids Foundation produces the annual stop on the PGA TOUR in New Orleans. The Foundation also hosts the Golf Ball (a black tie gala) as well as a series of events in which amateurs participate and the proceeds are distributed to a specific charity.
