Retief Goosen to Play Zurich Classic of New Orleans for First Time

New Orleans (February 21, 2006) – South African Retief Goosen has announced that he will play the 2006 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The event will take place April 24 - 30, 2006 at English Turn Golf and Country Club.

Goosen is currently third in the official world golf rankings, after finishing 2005 ranked fourth. He holds six wins, including the 2004 U.S. Open Championship, The 2004 TOUR Championship and The 2005 International. He also holds 19 international victories, including 2005 wins on the Asian and European tours. Last year, Goosen was one of only two players to collect a win in each of the last five seasons on TOUR.

About the Fore!Kids Foundation
The Fore!Kids Foundation produces the annual stop on the PGA TOUR in New Orleans. The Foundation also hosts the Golf Ball (a black tie gala) as well as a series of events in which amateurs participate and the proceeds are distributed to a specific charity.
