New Orleans (March 23, 2005) – Paul Azinger, Greg Owen and Ian Poulter have committed to play in the 2005 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The Zurich Classic is scheduled for April 25 – May 1 at the Tournament Players Club of Louisiana.

Azinger has won 12 PGA TOUR events since turning professional in 1981, including the 1992 TOUR Championship, the 1993 PGA Championship and the 2000 Sony Open in Hawaii. Azinger is a four-time member of the Ryder Cup team and two-time member of the Presidents Cup. In 2005, he will join ABC Sports as an analyst alongside Mike Tirico and Nick Faldo. This will be his third visit to the New Orleans event; he finished T15 here last year.

Owen, a 2005 PGA TOUR rookie, is currently ranked 28 th on the money list after a 3 rd place finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He has played the European Tour since 1996, where he finished in the top-40 on the Volvo Order of Merit from 2000 – 2003. This will be Owen’s first visit to the New Orleans event.

Poulter is a six-time winner on the European Tour, including the 2004 Volvo Masters Andalucia. He currently is ranked 29 th on the PGA TOUR money list after a 4 th place finish at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Poulter was a member of the 2004 Ryder Cup team.
