New Orleans (March 15, 2005) – Fan favorite John Daly today announced his commitment to the 2005 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The event is scheduled for April 25 – May 1 at the Tournament Players Club of Louisiana.
Daly holds five PGA TOUR victories, including his most recent win at the 2004 Buick Invitational. He has tied for 17 th twice this year at the Mercedes Championships and the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
2004 was one of the best in Daly’s career, with a career-best 17 made cuts in 22 starts and five top-10 finishes. His win at the Buick Invitational made him more money than he had in any of his previous 13 years on the PGA TOUR.
