ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS IS A FESTIVAL OF FOOD, MUSIC—AND GOLF TOO Dishes from New Orleans famed restaurants and legendary chefs are cooked up on the course for Pro-Am players and fans all week NEW ORLEANS, LA—Who would want to watch the world’s greatest golfers without a serving of jamblalaya or alligator on a stick? Or why give up dining at Galatoire’s or Antoine’s to watch golf? In New Orleans, you can have it all—and free concerts too. This year’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans PGA TOUR event features a delectable, delicious menu of food, music and great golf unique on the PGA TOUR April 19-25. Wednesday Pro-Am players will enjoy on-course samplings of dishes from world-famous Acme Oyster House, Antoine’s, Galatoire’s, Drago’s, Pascal’s Manale, Pelican Club, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House, K-Paul’s, Café duMonde and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Legendary chef Paul Prudhomme will personally cook up some of the dishes for the post-play Pro-Am party Wednesday evening. While world-renowned chef Emeril Lagasse will be playing the Wednesday Pro-Am event, the day after he conducts a personal cooking demonstration for player wives on Tuesday. Wednesday Pro-Am professional and amateur players will tune up their swings on the driving range in the morning with Acme’s Bayou Breakfast Wrap with Cajun relish and café au lait and beignets from Café du Monde. The afternoon flight will start their rounds with steak sandwiches from Ruth’s Chris. Dine on New Orleans finest cuisine at Champion’s Club The Champion’s Club, located in an air-conditioned tent on the 18th Fairway, will feature a unique dining experience representing some of New Orleans most famous restaurants: Galatoire’s, Arnaud’s, Emeril’s, Drago’s, Mr. B’s Bistro, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Semolina, Zea Rotisserie Chicken & Grill and Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Champions Club tickets begin at $175 and include one signature dish from each restaurant and unlimited beverages. Chill out with the freshest oysters and great food at Acme Oyster House A panoramic view of world class golf, freshly shucked oysters and all of Acme Oyster House’s great food makes this venue one of the best on the PGA TOUR. Tickets starting at $75 per day ticket give fans access to exclusive, elevated bleacher seating and umbrella tables on holes 13, 14, & 17, a menu of Acme Oyster House food and beverages as well as an air-conditioned tent to chill out while watching all the action. On-course fan concessions offer unique New Orleans flavors On-course public concessions at the Zurich Classic offer fans the unique flavors of our region. Last year’s menu features muffalettas, alligator-on-a-stick, coconut shrimp-on-a-stick, jambalaya, shrimp creole, beignets and, created exclusively for the tournament, the Crawfish Cake Classic—the official po-boy of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. This year’s menu promises to feature similar New Orleans favorites. To slake the thirst of walking the course, Louisiana’s own PJ’s Coffee baristas will be on site to serve hot coffee (dark roast decaf and flavored), iced coffee (mocha and regular), hot chocolate and PJ’s patented Granitas. As the official coffee of the 2010 Zurich Classic, PJ’s will donate 100% of all sales from the tournament to the Fore!Kids Foundation. Coca Cola Grille offers fan festival of food and music Everyone plays inside the Coca-Cola Grille with live music after competition and po-boys, crawfish, muffalettas, beignets sold all day long. Entrance is free with any type of Zurich Classic ticket. The Coca Cola Grille will host free live performances by Bag of Donuts on Saturday and the Chee-Weez on Sunday after the last putt drops. -30-
